Porsche made approximately 67 variations of the tractor,and stationary engines too, but they come down essentially to 4 basic air cooled diesel models. The very interesting thing is all use simply a single or multiple of the single cylinder, piston and cylinder head & valve train  assembly to make all tractors. So the Two Cylinder is just a single X 2 and so on. Naturally the crankshaft, Cam Shaft&Engine Block grow in length as cylinders are added, thus much commonality between models is achieved.The tractors have achieved cult status and are serious collectors items worldwide. There are many Porsche Diesel Clubs ( see links) and a great number of specialist services and parts providers.

1. The Junior ( several versions) is a single cylinder tractor, very flexible and functional, easy to use and drive with a well thought out system of power take offs. It is a low power unit however it exhibits surprising torque and speed despite this. It produced 13.8 Horse Power from an 822 CC engine. It had a hydraulic clutch which made it very smooth and easy on the gearbox. The gearbox came in several types and gear sets depending on model.
   

2. The Standard ( again many versions) is the two cylinder version, it is double the power of the Junior, for this reason is has a heavier transmission system and the range of accessories and implements that were available is greater, heavier work could be done with this machine.
   

3. The Super ( many versions) is the 3 cylinder model, a great workhorse , triple the power of the Junior, strong hydraulics and transmission, it could tackle almost any farm job and also light industrial work: loading, digging and the like.
   

4. The Master ( several versions) This was the tractor to have and be proud of! Four cylinder, very robust and powerful . The owner of this machine was a  happy man, no task seemed to big. Very popular now as a show and collectors item and becoming quite rare too
