To set up your TP-Link TL-WR841N router, plug the power adapter into the router and then the internet cable from your provider into the WAN/internet port. Next, connect a computer to the router via an Ethernet cable or by connecting to the default Wi-Fi network listed on the router’s sticker. Open a web browser, go to http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1, and log in with “admin” for both username and password. Run the Quick Setup to configure your internet connection and create a new Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password.
Hardware Setup
- Plug in the router: Connect the power adapter to the router and then to a power outlet.
- Connect the internet: Plug the Ethernet cable from your modem or internet provider directly into the blue WAN or Internet port on the back of the router.
- Connect to a computer: Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports on the router and the other end to your computer’s Ethernet port.
